Dr. Hammesfahr (pronounced "Ham - es - far" or Dr. H) is a Savannah native, growing up just south of us in Richmond Hill. She graduated from Augusta University with a degree in Biology and afterwards attended veterinary school at the University of Georgia. You may have already had the chance to meet Dr. Hammesfahr, as she worked as a technician at Faulkville Animal Hospital during her summer breaks while in veterinary school. After graduation from veterinary school, she pursued a one-year internship at an emergency hospital in Jacksonville, FL. There she developed a love for emergency medicine, especially surgery. After she finished the program, she wanted to come back to the area and accepted a new role at Faulkville Animal Hospital as the after-hours urgent care veterinarian (Tuesday- Friday). Always excited to expand her knowledge, Dr. Hammesfahr is currently working towards her board certification in general canine and feline practice through ABVP.

In her free time, Dr. Hammesfahr loves spending time with family and her cat, Theo. She also enjoys running, hiking and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs!
